This legacy of community, resiliency, and regenerative farming practices encourages us to remember our mission of making the Earth a better place. Leah discusses many of the issues that contribute to racism and injustice in our food system while also providing tried and true solutions.

Leah Penniman (li/she/ya/elle) is a Black Kreyol farmer, author, mother, and food justice activist who has been tending the soil and organizing for an anti-racist food system for 25 years. She is the author of Farming While Black: Soul Fire Farm’s Practical Guide to Liberation on the Land.
