A native of Chicago, Dr. Arvigo (she/her) has lived and worked in Central America for the past forty-five years where she studied with a number of traditional healers. She is the author of several books on medicinal plants and natural healing for the family. She is the co-founder of The Abdominal Therapy Collective, Rainforest Remedies, Ix Chel Tropical research Foundation, and The Belize Ethnobotany Project.

A native of Chicago, Dr. Arvigo (she/her) has lived and worked in Central America for the past forty-five years where she studied with a number of traditional healers, the most notable of whom were Don Elijio Panti, a Maya shaman and Miss Hortence Robinson, a herbal midwife. She is the author of several books on medicinal plants and natural healing for the family.

She is the co-founder of The Abdominal Therapy Collective, Rainforest Remedies, Ix Chel Tropical research Foundation, and The Belize Ethnobotany Project. Currently she spends her time teaching her special abdominal massage techniques and Maya spiritual healing workshops.
